Welcome to Sunday School

You are the one who put me together inside my mother’s body,
and I praise you because of the wonderful way you created me.Psalm 139: 13, 14

Sunday School meets in the Church Hall every Sunday during school term-time except the first Sunday of each month when a special family service is held in Church. The sessions start at 10.30 am and we join the congregation in the Church at around 11.15 am for blessing and Communion. All children from birth to 11 are welcome to attend.
Sunday School is divided into two groups 0-7 (meets downstairs) and 7-11 (meets upstairs). Both groups are run by ‘volunteer’ parents. Sunday School aims to offer children the opportunity to learn through the many Bible stories they hear, about the God who loves, cherishes, protects and forgives them. All children aged 4 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Some adults may see Sunday School as an opportunity to ‘have a break’ from their children. Let’s be honest, they are noisy, messy, sometimes smelly and often exhausting, but many adults’ lives have been greatly influenced by the faith of a child (the writer included) and sharing the Bible stories (many of them new to us) can be a part of an adult’s spiritual learning. In many of the Gospels Jesus used the illustration of children, “become as a child” to encourage adults to enter the Kingdom of God. (Luke 18: 15-17; Mark 10: 13-16; Matthew 19: 13-15).Together we are on a journey, for some of us a whole new journey, through which our children will lead, but one which we can all travel together. Come and learn about God’s love through song, prayer, stories, crafts, games and play. Jackie Dadart - Sunday School Leader . The Sunday School Leaders
